  • Light gold, luscious and full. Limited minerality and an acidity that is soft rather than tight. Freshness is giving way to the secondary mature flavors of pineapple and caramel florals. Persistent finish. I don’t believe the wine is too young but in the matured drinking window.

  • Light gold-yellow color. Intense complex nose with an impressive intensity on the palate. Lovely wine but it is much too young at this point in its evolution. Tasted at the local Paulee Meursault and this bottle went quickly.

  • Expressive nose shortly after opening. Tangy elements of lemon and iime with a faint undertone of butterscotch. This is full and expansive on the palate. It needs another 5-10 years before reconsidering. Great potential but it is still young despite 6+ years of bottle aging.

  • popped and poured. unusually dark golden hue - was very worried this was pre-oxed. but as it opened, it def was not - but the super dark color makes me relieved I had this when I did. This was very very fruit forward to me - a lot of pineapple, tropical flavors - the finish had a bit of a bitter, slightly metallic tinge that wasnt entiely unpleasant but wasnt amazing either. if I had this blind, I wonder if I would have guessed White Burg given this did not have much if any pronounced minerality. perhaps it was the bottle I had. regardless it was enjoyable.

  • last of my case, experienced much btl variation here... opened this to decant for dinner, three hours later tasted and decided not to take to dinner (tasted pretty bad)... drank the rest 2 nights later (gassed / fridged) and was just OK... hmmm... something weird with lots of ups and downs on this bottling (at least my case)
