4th Saturday Group brown bagger (Sue & Mike's): Dark color. Black currant, mineral, herbs and cedar notes. Medium tannins with flavors of black fruit and cedar with subtle citrus qualities too. Wasn't sure what this was, but Domino suggested S. American. Most tasters seemed to enjoy this one. On the young side, drink now-2018.

Mark brought this to dinner at an Italian restaurant last night. I think he indicated that this wine is made from the oldest carmenere vines in Chile. Rather fruity profile with crushed grape skin notes mixed in with tart cherry. Medium bodied with firm acidity. Moderate tannins. 88 points.

4th Saturday Group brown bagger (M/M thelostverse): Notes of spice, plum and dark fruit. The palate follows the bouquet. Simple. Guessed Cab Sauv.

Our first taste of a wine from Chile. Nose was a strong cherry fruit. Taste was dark cherry and blackberry. Finish did not disappoint.
