Drink now and over the next year or two. The Dutton Ranch Pinot served beside this wine was displaying more of those “cooler climate” characteristics; much more reserved and deliberate. The Bacigalupi was flamboyant and full of “Take me, I’m yours!” fruit flavor.

3-Day Napa Cab Taste-Off: Vice Versa, B Cellars, Memento Mori, Alpha Omega, Purlieu, Janzen, Realm, Myriad, MACDONALD, Maybach, and more...; 2/7/2018-2/9/2018 (Napa): Bold, dark red and black fruit flavors bolt out of this Pinot as if it was getting chased by the cops. Black cherry and dark spice notes dominate. Ripe and a bit extracted (a bit heavy and plush mid-palate) but the purity of fruit from this site is evident. A fun Pinot that begs for a BBQ pork loin with an allspice rub and bacon mustard BBQ sauce... Damn I’m hungry!
