  Oh the structure! I have resisted the urge I don't know how many times to bring this one home and left it on the shelf to age a little bit more. Well, within one day of pulling it and bringing it home, this one was opened up with friends! Definitely not a wine to serve to the Odette, Futo, Scarecrow, Tusk and Harlan crowd that is just looking for an expensive "Napacab," this wine has a ton of personality. Red fruited from start to finish. Softer front, nose and pallet of black cherry jam, figs and rhubarb, raspberry cassis, black tea, herbal, a little white pepper thrown in towards the finish. A very soft, yet not completely opulent mouthfeel. Structure, personality, and all the feels. Easily worthy of a 95, and I almost wonder if I would have brought a decanter and let this sit for an hour and a half (that I didn't have) if it would have increased the rating or not. Either way, solid 95 here. If you have these, I think they are really starting to reach the top of the curve, but I also feel like you have a few more years to enjoy this one at its height. Drink or hold!
