PnP. In a word - disappointing! This wine left us puzzled as it was not expressive at all, except for the medium to plus acidity. We had this alongside the Miner Family Viognier '16, which was quite typical. The meal was chicken & butternut squash in a coconut milk curry over jasmine rice, which has matched very well with various viogniers in the past. Will hold rating until we consume the remaining wine (placed in a 375 ml screw cap bottle with no air) with food leftovers.
This second half of this bottle was much better than the first half! The wine yielded some white fruit and minerality on the nose. The palate showed the same white fruit (mostly pear), and minerality. The finish was medium, but had a slightly bitter nature to it. Have definitely had better viogniers, even at the club price of $18. Should hold for a year or two.

To the nose, peach, white peach and honey - very floral. On the palate, peach, white peach and asian pear, with slight melon. At end of taste, a dash of herb- perhaps ginger. Minerality is very good. Good mouthfeel with very good length. Alcohol is higher than anticipated but plays well. Overall, a very good wine.

With a little more bottle age, the acidity (6.1) and sugar (3g) balance is becoming more harmonious, with the long acidity on the palate holding well.
Finish still long with more stone evident than earlier

14%abv, mainly stainless steel, 5% in neutral oak for 4 months
Fresh with green spice and floral nose
Nice acidity, moderate oak impact on texture, spice with a little tingly pear on finish. VERY long
