This (L17125) was decanted 30 minutes before dinner and served over two nights. It is an international-style Cahors, which is not my preferred style, but it is a very well-made, balanced wine for the style, with sweet fruit aromas, some mushroom and forest floor, decent acidity, and integrated tannins. It does not have much Malbec character, but is a very nice, pleasing wine for the style. Drink to 2027 ? Below $20 this is a decent QPR but at cuirrent prices it seems a bit expensive.

This is a modern Cahors which is easily approachable and shows, medium++ body, round dark fruit, earth and tar infused minerals, decent depth, smooth texture, reasonable acidity and firm ripe enrobés tannins. It bats in the same quality league as bourgeois claret in a similar price range (€15-20). Good.

Similar to my last bottle, see those detailed notes, but I raise my vote one notch because it seemed more balanced and savory this time.
