  • Golden color--darker than expected for this wine. Crisp smells that are similar to a German Kabinet with some apple cider, apricot, and papaya. Somewhat overly acidic without the bright fruit to offset. From the smell, I was expecting something more refined, but thought this wine was a little coarse and heavy.

  • Very fruity and rich as a riesling should be. A nice mineral touch. Honey, white flowers, some pear and a hint of melon. Very well balanced with a good structure. My kind of wine (this tasting note can be biased).

  • On the first night, this was pleasant with crisp lime but had some unintegrated creamy flavors i usually associate with oak, although i'm unfamiliar with this wine's barrel treatment. I corked up 1/2 the bottle in a split and it went back in the fridge for another 3 days. Today, the last half is lovely. Very balanced, with slate, lime, a touch of lanolin, a hint of sweetness and a decent bit of acid. If i had more bottles i'd hold or decant.
