Tasted at Skurnik Grand Portfolio Tasting in NYC. Medium + acidity, slightly creamy with wet stones, citrus and apricot. Very good but a little less interesting than this was last year when they were pouring it as well. Again would hope for more from this cru. I assume the 2017 is in very short supply??

From Berry Bros approx £25 Green/ good colour Intense nose, lines, there’s a little vanilla underneath Vibrant and citric, fresh but with some weight to it, texture is creamy and full. Mouth-watering finish. Lemon rind. This is very nice especially with roast chicken. It does feel like it is fattening out quickly so perhaps not for the long term.

Tasted at the Skurnik Grand portfolio tasting in NYC. Poured by Laurent Pinson. This wine is made from vines that are more than 50 years old, underwent full malolactic fermentation in tank and was aged in older barrels. This exhibits much more of the classic Chablis characteristics than the Petit and Village Chablis we also tasted today. It has some nice minerality, good acidity and some oily texture with pear and lemon flavors and some salinity on the finish.Still a little more plain than I would hope for from this 1er Cru.
