Green tinged palate lemon. This was subtle and understated, almost subdued, youthful citrusy mineral wine, a hint of fennel bulb, lime blossom and yuzu, but a glacial, crystalline mineralite, and almost no evolution over several hours.

On first opening, it seemed very soft and gentle, and I dismissed it as a 2016 that had gone a bit overdone (even though the colour was definitely very healthy and showing acid). After a while it became more typical of the maker, minerally and a bit restrained. A keeper.
edit: two days later the last inch was delightful, particularly the aroma: fine, savoury, solid and stable.

Initially somewhat unusual, subtle sunflower and dandelion. 6 hours later remain very subtle and understated, but very complex, saline, seaside mineralite, spice, florals with hints of geranium and a bready, creamy thing going on. Very high acidity.

Wow factor. Accessible from the get go. Lovely saline Cretaceous seaside mineralite harmonious with lemon and lime, something sublimely pure, elegant, rich and mouth filling yet at the same time understated.

Needed 30 min of a decant to open up. Full bodied, mineral and with great length. Starts to drink well now.
