13% alcohol. Long cork of above average quality with completely anonymous inscription. The colour is pale straw. Intense nose of yellow flowers (including gorse), lanolin and even a hint of wild strawberry (not for the first time in a Chablis 1er cru); superb complexity here. In the mouth, the wine is properly lean but not in any way austere or steely; sappy, very long and refreshing. One of my best Chablis ever. Probably worth decanting the next time to increase exposure to air (as recommended by the producer). Great value and a repeat purchase.

Popped, poured, consumed over next 90 minutes. Some exotic — for Chablis — honeydew melon notes, but otherwise vibrant acids, citrus and plenty of seashore saline minerality.

13% alcohol. Good long cork with minimal inscription "mise en bouteilles à la propriété". Sustained lemony colour. Very engaging nose of white flowers. Very pure in the mouth with a hint of yellow plum and all the mineral aspect (including a saline note) that you want in a Chablis. Very straight, but not unyielding, and in super condition. Superb length. I really prefer my Chablis unoaked, and Louis Michel is one on the top exponents of that school. A delight with oysters (Mweeloon bay, probably the best molluscs that I ever had).
