Dark red and blue fruits on the nose, with an herbal spice, and subtle oak tones. The palate is interesting--there is some obvious heat, but it feels somehow restrained. The fruit is primary, but light and delicate. No sense of jamminess or heaviness that you get in a lot of modern CDPs. I think there's a lot of potential here, and hopefully the alcohol integrates with a bit more bottle age.

There is a lot to like here starting with all the sweet, black raspberries, cherries, kirsch, flowers and spice on the nose and palate. The wine is medium-bodied, lifted, soft and silky, with a nice dose of concentrated peppery red fruits in the finish.
