Visiting Napa (Feb 13th - 17th); 2/13/2014-2/17/2014 (Napa, CA): Nose: Blackberries, Apricot, Cherry Cordial, Classic Tokalon Spices and a nice sage/mint note. Palate: Elegantly refined with most tannin gone at this stage. Black Cherry preserves, Allspice, Cinnamon and some hot stones. Finish: Berry fruit and tokalon spice linger for a long time.
Ready to drink, and one of the highlights of the Carter/Envy tasting.

A powerful, fruit forward wine. Much better after 2 hours in the decanter. High alcohol. Dense purple color. More time would not hurt.
