Decanted 2 1/2 hours. 1st impression was med bodied cab with good hangtime but a bit hot. After another hour, heat went away leaving a soft, pleasant mouthfeel

I've had better examples of the 2016 Round Pond yet, it's still a very good wine. Day 2 shows better the acidity has toned down and the flavor has filled in and are more expressive. 93+/94 Points. The 2016 vintage is fantastic.

Opened, poured into a decanter, and then enjoyed with a Grassl Liberte glass. Tasted with food (sausage, peppers, onions and zucchini over ciabatta, in case you were wondering). Purple color. Nose offers cherry, plum, and some chocolate notes. Smells like Napa cabernet. First taste is ripe, round plum/cherry, with a nice cedar and cigar box note. Shows a little heat (abv). Nice finish - with some bright acidity at the tail end of the mid palate and following. Enjoyable.
Quality cork; branded, no wine or vintage. 14.6% abv.
