  Tasting this wine again, now some 13+ years out. Still a fine wine for the price point, Typical for Maremma Toscana wine, dark red with decent fruit and a long finish. Glad I have more in my cellar, I see no need to rush it, given we enjoy aged wines.

  Nice wine. Not overly complex but smooth with a slight edge and distinctive IGT flavour. 2 more in the cellar and will drink over the next year

  Nice perfumed fruit nose with loads of black fruit especially blackberry. Good acid and moderate tannins that are well balanced throughout a modest length finish. Kept improving during the 1.5 hours it was decanted. The pasta wit a marinara veal sauce was perfectly matched.

  65% Sangiovese & 35% Cabernet. Full bodied, dry, firm tannins, dusty, earthy dark fruit. Great food wine. Good value. Serious. 13.5% alco (D 7.5, F 6; Nappi, Palm Bay)
