  Black fruit, some raisins, fairly resolved tannins--very obviously Italian with moderate bottle age. Drinks very well from first drop to last with no chanbge; no decanting required.

  Drank 2 bottles at an Italian restaurant. Solid wine to pair with hearty foods. Full body with a nice aroma of perfectly ripe cherries and dried mushrooms. Palate shows a good dose of fruit and tannins with some noticeable alcohol. Young at this point but don't think it will get much better.

  PnVnD let air for 1 hr. Crimson purple from core to rim not saturated. Earthy porcini black raspberry and cherry aroma. Medium(-) with powdery tannins. Flavors echo the nose with burst of black cherry and a nice mineral element. Velvety red frui finish. Got better over the course of the evening as the flavors caught up to the aroma. Liking what Alicante brings to the party.
