My friend gave me this bottle, calling it "Baby Rayas". I drank Rayas 2007 last night, and I like this every bit as much or more. This delivers a similar elegant, light, herbal, Burgundian style. Dehydrated, not bright, fruit. This shows prominent matchstick, which is something I enjoy. Recommended.

Had this again with friends, very popular at the table. Plush, farmyard funk, good freshness but a after a while in the glass some pruny notes. I think it is time to drink this up.

Drank this next to a Vosne/Suchots with friends to show the difference between Grenache and Pinot. This wine was really popular. The nose is still discrete, not much giving away, ripe red fruit, a bit of rum pot. On the palate on the other hand the wine is very expressive. Burgundian in style, beautiful red fruit with sweet spices, gingerbread, sour cherry and kirsch. Really light and elegant for a CdP. I like this measured style with whole clusters much more than the heavy bruisers from the Parker period.

Much like its little brother, though clearer red. Less smell of game, better diversity and more prominent fruit here. Good balanse, but needs proper meat and sauce. More complex, more balance, more of everything. Too much of smokehouse and butcher shop. For this price, I would not buy again.
