  Inky black with a garnet rim, showing a nose of slightly minty sweet black cherries, black currents, graphite. Gains a creamy note with air. The palate shows ripe fruit, not at all over the edge, wrapped in a glove of firm acidity and soft tannins, rather long finish. I really like the sense of tension but balance here. I’ll call it 92 because it fades a little on the back end, but as it matures, I think it could really blossom. Best in about five years....
