Great nose, floral and fragrance with toasty oak. There's a touch of mintiness too like a Cabernet. Would certainly not recognise this as tempranillo Firm, dense and meaty with powdery tannin Lots here, everyone else thought it was wonderful but just a bit too tightly coiled at the moment. Needs time

Kingston Dinner (Fairfield, CT): really dark in color and wood on the nose. The wine seems built to last a while longer. Need food with this wine. It was the last wine of the night, so I don't remember a lot of the details of this wine other than the fact that I liked it.

Intense, fruity, heady, with blueberries, blackcurrants, herbs. Med+ body. Rich yet compact, quite fruity, dark toned, with decent acidity, good structure, ripe tannins and some spice. Oak is still present in the aftertaste, but not too bad overall. Modern, but balanced (not overripe or overoaked), excellent. Young, would try again in 3-5 years.

Dark, clear ruby. A layered bouquet with wet leaves, tea and tobacco running along damson aromas. Round, supple and elegant. So typical Rioja.
