  • Medium red. Elegant nose of black cherry, berry, wet earth and plum. Dry berry and roasted meat flavours and a dry delicious finish. Not a hint of over ripeness.

Decant for an hour or more.

  • This is a tale of 2 wines. Luckily we had the time and patience to let the second wine come through. I decanter for ah hour and then poured it back in the bottle and drove it to a friend's for lunch.

Poured from the bottle it seemed that the fruit had collapsed a bit. There was some balsamic, black cherry and winery smells and it was intense but more like a Cotes du Rhone then a pure Syrah. Warm cherry flavours and a ton of structure. We went on to another wine.

After an hour or so I poured another glass and what a transformation. The nose was now very open, berry, meat, blood and pepper were now very prominent with thyme and smoke in the background. The flavours mirrored the nose and the structure was still there but in a very pleasant textured way.

  • Fairly dark red. Tight young nose, berry, olives, plums and cherry. Medium weight red fruit and earth flavours and a rich but dry finish, some nice texture.

    Very primary, worth holding.
