At my daughter Jodi's birthday dinner at L'Escale in Greenwich, CT. we the group of us drank two bottles. The nose is all fruit. The palate is red and black berries, plums, figs and coffee leading to a moderately long finish. Overall a very enjoyable wine.

Nose hints at spice, licorice, bittersweet chocolate. Tastes of dark fruit with a dusty cover at present. Fairly clipped ending. Drinking okay now - wonder if it will express more in the year or two ahead.

This medium purple Cab has a sent of ripe plum and blueberries. Behind it sneaks in a bit of black cherry and a hint of spice. In the mouth this is a balanced, wonderful cab that evokes flavors of strawberries, ripe cherries and a slight hint of white pepper. As it fades off of your tongue, it moves through a slightly complex finish made up of a collage of red fruits. Even with an ABV of 14.8 - it doesn’t drink hot at all. Gorgeous. This is a tradition that was born from impatience: Drink one of Turley’s new cabs now, save the rest for a few years. But this year is interesting (as was 2016) in that the Estate Cab is drinking so well today even though it hasn’t been in the cellar for two weeks. It is already showing its unbelievable structure and balance. Yes, obviously you should let these sit... but if you have some extras, maybe sneak one now. I don’t think you’ll regret it at all.

Smooth and easy to drink, but no particular character stands out...

Deep purple. Fruit on the nose. High acidity, lots of texture. Plums, raisins, maybe Bing cherries
