I suppose there must be great bottle variation with this vintage. For us, this was complex, with aromas of dark fruit, cherries, and forest floor. On the palate, black current, morrepo cherry and a hint of mint. Medium body, good acid, fine tanins. Just a great bottle. If you have a bottle like this, should hold well and evolve for another few years, at least.

Very dark red color. Decanted for an hour. Drank a couple glasses over 2 hours. Perfumed, red fruits, cherry, earthy and a pastel of flowers and spice on the nose. The palate is medium bodied, largely red fruited with the tart red cherry dominating, but a layer of black currant is there too, soil, medium dusty tannins, and a medium finish. Showing well, but should improve.

Just not showing up... not much aroma, not much flavor... nothing “ wrong “ with it, just nothing right with it either... 3rd out of 3 wines tasted side by side, all 2011’s and the other 2 from Tuscany & Paso Robles.

Smooth. Losing fruit flavor. Earthy/leather taste.
