Starts off with lots of toasty oak and smoked meat. While it sits in the glass the nose opens up more and more showing dark cherry, fresh strawberry, violets, spice box and raw meat. Rather rich and structured palate for a village wine. Very good intensity to the flavors that mirrors the nose really good. Could use some years to integrate the oak but definitely good to go today.
I’ve tasted this wine some vintages is a row now and it has always delivered a nice drinking experience with the school book Gevrey-characteristics. Would be fun to have this with some age to it some time.

Fresh, fruity and well-balanced. Not as herbal as I was expecting. Worked like magic with our confit de canard!
