Penetrating green spice and cardamom nose, all screams whole-cluster fermentation, almost American oak override! Spicy Asian/green tea and dark cherry (not blackberry) palate. Very, very sleek, elegant green peppery finish lasts for minutes. While intense, my favorite vineyard source from this producer upholds the tradition of finely balanced BTF wines in this vintage. That said, drink over the next 18 months to avoid a fruit/stem-barrel override.

Such an intensely dark spice and pleasant pepper nose, I almost want to sneeze, yet a beautifully balanced and elegant wine. Black fruit aplenty, slightly grippy with pleasant, ample dryness. Drink over next 2 yrs.

We got rain delayed on the P'ton football game, camped out at Lauren's instead..:) Brought this one for the group. First bottle from this vintage. PnP.
Medium, translucent ruby. Nose showing dark cherry, minerals ans spice. Elegant palate of bright red fruits, black tea, herbs, vanilla (?). Nice secondary notes. Medium weight and finish.
This went quickly, it was excellent...I would like to have let it open and spent a bit more time with it. It was fine out of the bottle but I suspect it would have evolved. I am thinking this is at the front end of a 5-7 yr drinking window. Great stuff
