I have something about Burlotto, I considered them as the best from Barolo, sadly this wine was not in that league, too tannic and not as delicious as it used to be ! I have lost my love for Barolo.

This bottle was still a bit tight I think, or perhaps in a tunnel phase, but it was still enjoyable. A croquant fruit, blue and red, with licorice and cough syrup but mainly with a cool and clean feeling. Drunk next to Flavio Roddolo Barolo Ravera 2009, these wines are night and day but both have their place in my appreciation. The Roddolo was clearly on point maturity wise, this Burlotto I would try resting for at least 3 or even 5 years before trying again. Only have the one more though...

Heavy on the tar and roses. Light on the finesse.

Dark fruit and floral. Great aromatics and power of the palate. Not as detailed as other vintages

Drunk at a BYO dinner, with Brasato al Barolo.
