  • Arnaud Ente Bourgogne Rouge Vertical (2016/2017)

Thought that I would enjoyed the 16 over the 17 but this was an exception. Didn't like the bouquet on this from the get go - Icing sugar and really ripe red berries dominated the bouquet. Palate showed slightly better with finesse and balance. Nice, but after coming off the incredible flight of whites, this didn't hit the same highs.

  • Pretty nose. Pale ruby color. Delicate/feminine profile. Expands with air. Mild cola, cranberry, bing cherry. High acid. Fine, lingering finish. I like the wine, yet I’ll venture it shades Russian River for the purist (but a good one!). 2,617 bottles produced. A generous gift.
