Two hours decant. Ruddy in colour, slightly opaque, medium to high viscosity. Nose is not strong, very young wine. Tastes of early season red berries, mint, caramel, earth, loads of fine tannins and acidity. Feels like this needs to sit until 2025 before being good, but it is well on its way.

Don't open this wine anytime soon. Sure, it was wide open, revealing all of its secrets just prior to release, but right now, it's buttoned up pretty good. Very classic build, with excellent, bright typicity showing on the nose, and med/med+ palate. But, again, it's really coiled now, so let it sleep at least 3 more years. For its potential, highly recommended
Clear pale/medium garnet; clean medium plus nose of light balsamic, dried plums, dried strawberries, musty/dusty, savoury herbs and barnyard; dry; high acidity; medium plus tannins; medium plus alcohol; medium body; medium plus flavour intensity; palate is tarter and simpler, but with addition of cocoa; medium plus finish; drink now or in another 5 to 7 years; will smooth out over time but I’m not sure that it will improve much

A nice glass of wine and with a high quality. It did not hit me so much. Maybe I took it to early but not sure. Very elegant fruit, nice balance and some tasty wood, but I was missing more brunello/sangiovese taste and power.

Brought a 2015 Rion NSG 1er Cru Vignes Rondes and a 2013 Colombini BdM Prime Donne to a Chinese dinner to demonstrate the difference between such “old world flavor profiles” and a Aussie Shiraz, and the Burgundy was showing just phenomenal with Peking Duck and so on. Sweet red and dark fruit, beautiful aromatics and complexity and none of the slightly intrusive oak and overwhelming wood spices I remember from my last bottle. While to my surprise also clearly classic in style, the Brunello could not match this beauty. More dominated by earthy flavors and tobaccco notes, this was not nearly as pretty and much less sweet this was good but just like the other 2013 BdM I have had so far, not a wine that will blow you away
