Aperto e consumato, naso in grande evoluzione, prima floreale, viola profumata e dolce di rosa intensa. Poi frutti rossi, ciliegia selvatica, ribes, mentre progressivamente i profumi diventano più profondi e la frutta evolve verso maggiore maturità. La ciliegia diventa nera, poi prugna, mora e frutti di bosco. Infine emerge la parte terziaria; liquirizia, spezie come noce moscata e chiodo di garofano, insieme a note più vegetali di tabacco e sottobosco. Tutto a costruire un profilo estremamente fine ed elegante, molto attraente. Eleganza che caratterizza anche l’assaggio, dove emerge la struttura decisamente importante, ma colpisce l’equilibrio e l’armonia garantita da freschezza e tannini solidissimi ma di velluto. Finale lungo e tridimensionale, fruttato e speziato.Grande Sangiovese di Montalcino ancora giovane ma perfettamente godibile in virtù di una grazia davvero eccellente.

Aromas of cranberry, barnyard, violet, licorice, iron, and a hint of bell pepper. Flavours of ripe cherry, orange peel, tree bark, prune, and perfume. Medium tannins, acidity, and finish. Preferred the previous bottle more.

Definitely opened too young. Should have waited a couple of years but when I was leaving to go to the football game, (in case anyone is interested which I am sure you are not, the Jets won) I grabbed a couple of bottles from the cellar to take to dinner after the game and I thought I grabbed a 2010. Oh well. This wine has great potential. Dark red cherry, red plums, hints of leather, touched of spice. It does have it all and now as consumers we must be patient. 92 for last night but I can see the 95 that Vinous gave it in the future.

How is this 2016 Brunello drinking? Fantastic i might say. Aromas of violet ,red fruit, leather , black fruit, orange, mushrooms and oak.
Taste of succulent cherry, raspberry , plum, orange , leather , Forest floor, oak, licorice, violet, anise and chocolate. Long beautiful finish. This is drinking well now with the fruit hinting that its about to transition to something else. Lovely
