Had this tonight with some Cochon au Lait gumbo. Light yellow-gold in the glass, with sweet white fruits on the nose (lychee?).
Not nearly so sweet on the palate; clearly off-dry, but the acidity does a great job of keeping the sweetness in check. This was a good match for the richness of the roux in the gumbo, light on it's feet. It's also a wine that could work on it's own or as an aperitif.

Lighter in color than the Donnhoff; nose is nicely floral, with white fruits as well.
While the nose would imply a level of sweetness to the wine, the prominent acidity here dominates initially on the palate. Almost a saltiness on the tongue, with the fruit in the background. Pretty likable right now for an entry-level bottling from a so-so vintage. Screw-capped.

Nicely balanced, with decent acidity keeping the sweetness in check. Not bad.

Still great with food, A touch of sweetness, i.e., honey but nice acidity.
