Usual light colour that makes you think it is more aged than it is. 12.5%. Cranberry, woodsmoke, hint of sulphur and sandalwood. Almost a pinot like tilt to it. Lovely mouthfeel. Light bodied and perhaps a tad dilutish in feel due to the low alcohol. Classic Neb finish. I think this might be at or just pass the peak so drink up. The tannins are superfine and furry and in contrast to the light body ie you expect a deeper wine for the tannins or lighter tannins for the depth of the body.

This was lovely, light on its feet, roses and bright red berry fruit, crunchy acidity and quite fine tannins. It is in a lightweight frame but puts on a little bit of weight given a little bit of air. Also unfolds quite a bit over time, some lovely forest floor, some charred character and a slight charcuterie flavours. Feel this is delicious now but you don’t really need to be in a hurry to drink.

Lovely Nebbiolo from Timo. Really fresh, quite light on its feet but also quite detailed at the same time. The palate is flush with cranberries, roses, dried herb and black cherries. I found it best in a big Pinot glass. Very fine tannins, beautiful length, very drinkable now.

There’s cherry and wild herbs on the nose as well as on the palate, where a wave of sweet and sour, pickled and fresh red cherries and boysenberry glide over your mouth. This is sustained by a backbone of fine persistent tannins that deliver what is an extraordinary and unique wine. There are hints of aniseed and orange peel as well as roses. Super fine boned, deceptively delicate, with a beautiful transparent ruby colour and a very, very long finish where those wonderful tannins grip every part of the mouth. This is a classic; a remarkably beautiful wine. So unique. This is Australian Nebbiolo taken to the next level.

Hasn’t changed much since my last note over a year ago. Cracking Nebbiolo.
