Bought at auction for 53€. The wine is deep ruby coloured. The nose is promising, but the first sip quickly shows that the wine is in decline. It’s still a pleasant aged pinot, but lacking fruit, spice and adventure. Therefore no rating and no recommendation.

NSMFOW October 2008--Blind BYO (The Grapevine, Salem, MA): Previous tasting notes hold up: Dark ruby color. Dark cherry nose. Luscious black cherry with velvety mouthfeel and sweet mouthcoating tannins. Almost new world in structure, but truly delicious.

Dinner at Home (Take 2) (Byfield, MA): Previous tasting note from 2/25/07 pretty much holds up: Dark ruby color. Dark cherry nose. Luscious black cherry with velvety mouthfeel and sweet mouthcoating tannins. Almost new world in structure, but truly delicious. Served with tenderloin roast, sauteed fiddleheads (eat them while you can), and roasted potatoes.
