  • Tasted over 2 hrs
-med dark red purple minimal clearance at edge
    -bubble gum black cherry licorice
-med acidity, med/med- weight simple dark berry earth faint funk, med+ tannins give a rustic feel
-not drinking particularly well at this phase, has some gamay-like features, not sure I am noticing the lack of sulfur unless the faintly funky element is something brewing

  • "Everyone knows German Reisling wines do not age." (Chicago, IL): Hah, take that, cfrances33 -- this wine already existed. Wax capsule indicating sans soufre. I don't get it; there's something kind of natty here, but it's not really mousy or anything, but there is definitely a distinct funk that you get in all of these weird sulphur-free pinots. Nice red fruit with a fair bit of stemminess, counterbalanced by some tasty red fruit. Not off the charts unpleasant, but not really my preferred style either.
