Had with artichoke pizza and it was an inspired match. The tannins are just coarse enough and it just feels bright and honest. Great QPR and highly recommended.

Old vine Carignan, excellent qpr. A great stew wine - We enjoyed this with Ropa Vieja on a windy fall night - easy pop and pour and a very satisfying big wine

If you don't like this wine, there is a hole in your vinous soul. Sappy, warm, spicy and dark fruited, yet light on its feet. Great for the dinner table, flexible. Kind of like Beaujolais meets southern Rhone. Enjoyable and comforting.
Being great fans of both Carignan and Marselan, this is unsurprisingly a favorite of ours. Marselan is an excellent complement to Carignan, adding cassis and spicy notes to the inherent earthiness already present. We are 'forever fans'...

Start out pretty rustic and I was tempted to give up on immediately. But I decided to aerate and decant and give it some time, and it blossomed into something entirely different, showing substantial depth and nuance.
