Deep garnet color with a slight hint of bricking. The nose is earthy, sous bois, with some red fruit coming through. The wine itself is beautiful strawberry, cherry, raspberry. The age has helped develop a little old world style to it. If you find a bottle, don't dismiss it because of the St. Jean label - this wine holds its own.
