Dark red with no bricking. Nutmeg, earth and raspberry nose. Medium to full bodied, thick cherries, blackberries, pepper, sweet, fully integrated tannins, good acid, and a luscious, medium plus finish. Hitting on all cylinders.

Bought 2 bottles at the tasting room in Sutter Creek and took it to dinner at the fine dining restaurant "Taste" in Plymouth. Good match for duck breast or other hearty fare. 7 years have softened the tannins and the fruit and oak, while certainly present balance this out to where it is neither a fruit or alcohol bomb. 100% varietally correct and well-done Amador Zin. Drink now.
