M's bottle. Ripe and ready. Creamy with tangy fruit closer to pear than Meursault's trademark pineapple, with vanilla bean and a note we called 'bear claw' referring to the buttery toast of Danish pastry with almond marzipan. Delicious now but not a long-term hold.

From the glass list at Domaine Serene Tasting Room (Portland, OR). This seems to be more in the oaky/buttery style of white burgundy which is not really my wheelhouse. The acidity is present, but not particularly taut or fully in balance with the richness of the fruit and oak.

Good, but not great. Slight buttery oak on the nose. Tangerine and grapefruit. Toasted almond. Slight black licorice smell. Almonds
