Very Riesling-like on the nose, limey and mineral, kiwi fruit. Herbal; starts out a little dilute on the entry - one dimensional, doesn't really get going and then offers really eye-watering acidity on the finish. Out of sorts. Maybe going through an awkward stage.

Spring Swing Through France-Random Wines Tasted or Imbibed; 4/14/2018-4/25/2018 (Burgundy, Alsace, Paris): Pale green tint. Attention-getting scents of lemon and orange zest. Lighter than many Mellot wines and no trace of wood. Bright, pure citrus flavors, fine acidity, and a finale of crushed stone. No lack of intensity despite the lighter body. Ooh, I wish I had some oysters with this-oh wait, we did, and that's exactly why we ordered this bottle. Perfect pairing. No problem holding this for several years, but crackingly fresh and good now.

Lime, slate. Harmonious, but not particularly defining in any way. No need to hold further.

Another Wine Slog Across France; 11/2/2019-11/13/2019 (Paris, Alsace, Burgundy, Encore Paris): Lighter style for Mellot but typical weight for Sancerre. Grapefruit and orange peel, not a lot of Sauvignon pungency. Good acidity, moderate intensity. Very good and quite like I found it 18 months ago. No need to hold longer.
