Really good sparkling wine that can go toe to toe with many champagnes at nearly twice the price. Great balance, nice richness and, while not as complex as some top shelf champagnes, more going on than you'd expect. Outstanding QPR.

Drinking young out of magnum at this stage. Not sure if 750s and 1.5L are treated differently as they are for the NV bottlings, but this one had some mild toasty notes, bright red fruit and tart apple nose. Palate is bright and the green apple and mineral cut keep any richness in check. If experience is a guide, this will last forever and age into something different and wonderful.
I am a fan of acid, drink mostly champagne in bubbly. While the NV can come off a bit softer, I have never had a bottle of any vintage of L'ermitage lacking in acid to support the other elements.

We drank this in larger glasses and the bubbles quickly disappeared. Not sweet, but certainly at the sweet end of brut, and tasting older than a 2013 champagne would. Moderate to low acidity, nice weight, and a complex array of flavors -- almond first, then herbal, and an aftertaste of bubblegum. An engaging wine, but would be better with a little more structuring acidity.
Follow-up: We drank most of the bottle on Monday, then stuck a rubber stopper in the bottle and forgot about it until Friday, when I was surprised to find that it still had bubbles, and tasted, if anything, better than on day one.
