NobleRottersSydney - Ten & Twenty years - 04 & 94 reds (360 Bar & Dining, Sydney): {cork} (Stephen) Sweetish nutty wine of blackberry essence, warm and spicy, with a lot of alcoholic heat; Medium-dry for sweetness, but with masses of acid, full-body, and a medium length, hot finish. I really just don’t seem to get the style of these, somehow.

Dense red- no hint of 30yrs age. Nose astounding with yeasty notes and intense red fruits. In the mouth sublime and balanced. Now until the end of time. Original score- 97.
ED: from GHM's cellar, I suspect a very pleasant and successful evening drove the original points, so I have moderated slightly to match my modern curve!

NobleRottersSydney - 'Bet you've never tasted this - Oz only' (Alio's, Surry Hills): [cork, 20%] {Gordon} Dark. Aged. Rather cough-mixture like, and not really in a good way. Best to drink and not inhale. The palate has more pleasing molten licorice flavours, with a mulled spiciness of raisiny fruit and brandy-ish alcohol. Full-bodied and warm, it’s a bit of a thug, but drinkable none-the-less. Might live forever if the cork’s any good.

NobleRottersSydney - Penfolds v Henschke (de Burgh's, Sydney): Brick red. Sharply alcoholic nose which cuts through the tobacco-like aromas. The palate is intense and concentrated with brandy-like flavours, but the alcoholic heat still dominates everything too much for me.

Nouveau Tasting Group (Andrew M's)(07/08/2009) (Andrew M's): Nouveau Tasting Group @ Andrew M's: Wine 7 (Jeff G)
Colour: brick red
Nose: lightly spiced, vanilla, cedar & a musk/talcum powder note
Palate: light, balanced, nicely sweet christmas/raisin fruit; thickish texture probably due to sediment
A typical Australian aged VP with a very heavy crust
