This is a fairly straight forward Viognier and one with a clean outlook without the usual oiliness / oakiness of Australian viognier of yesteryear.
Fairly ripe and apricot, has some spice on the nose but not overly perfumed. A smooth wine that is well balanced. Linear finish with minimal complexity. This is not a cheap wine and for the same money, A Condrieu of similar $$$ provides much more charm, complexity and fun. Andre Perret is a case in point.
There is a chance that this wine may evolve further as it is under screw cap so its evolution is being hindered by the closure. Certainly got the structure to evolve further.
Drink now to 5+ years from now.

Six Nations Wine Challenge 2018 (Manjit's Wharf, Sydney): Ripe apricot, cream, more spicy on the palate and finishes a little bitter. Hmm.
