Wine from Cory’s Walla Walla collection. Nose metallic and herbal. Light sparkling yellow. Dry, burst of green apple that finishes even with minerality. Quite complex. 8/10.

September 2018 in Walla Walla; 9/19/2019-9/22/2019 (Walla Walla, Washington): Private tasting with winemaker Justin Wylie. My new favorite Savignon Blanc! This is just fantastic and a unique Sav Blanc. The concrete egg fermentation keeps this crisp and minerally. Green apple aromas. Tastes start off on the front of the tongue with effervescent grapefruit and finishing with succulent melon and green apple. Will be buying a bunch of these for next summer.

Light greenish yellow. Started off a bit stinky on the nose then opened up with tons of tropical fruits and lemongrass. Solid acidity (6/10) and medium plus bodied. Nice creaminess on the palate with citrus, stone and tropical fruits. Medium plus finish. Drink till 2024.

Aromatically layered and expressive. Scents flow from the glass retailing ruby grapefruit, pineapple, lemongrass, ginger and hints of delicate white flowers and wet sidewalk. The palate shows bright acidity, and zesty fruits of Meyer lemon and grapefruit with fresh lemongrass, pineapple and orchard blossoms that unfold to reveal ginger, stone and saline. Long through the finish. Gorgeous.
