Tasted blind. Clear, bright, medium yellow, with a green hue. The nose is clean, youthful, with medium (+) to high intensity aromas of tart lemon, lime, green herbs and grass, tropical fruit and and cat pee. The palate is dry, fruit-forward, with medium (+) to high acidity, medium (+) to high alcohol (14.2%) and a slight bitterness on the finish. The palate is consistent with the nose, with medium (+) body, flavor intensity and length. There's no evidence of new oak, but there's a slight spice note on the nose and creamyness on the palate that reveals some amount of aging (7 months) on neutral French oak. This is a moderate-climate Sauvignon Blanc. The richness and presence of oak rules out New Zealand. The lack of chalky minerality also rules out Sancerre. For me, this seemed more like a Pessac-Leognan. Very good wine, although I am not sure about the QPR at $45.
