Lovely Quinta. Opens up nicely with air. Red fruited, lighter and more elegant than a typical vintage Port. Boatloads of sediment. Mature, but should drink well for at least a decade.

Consumed over two evenings, about 1 hour in glass on evening 1 & 1 hour in glass after a decant on evening 3. Slightly forward alcohol & acids upon first opening, but this found its balance relatively quickly. Similar impressions from later that evening and evening 3: aromatic, with golden raisin & red berry fruit alongside maple syrup notes and hints of cocoa. Light in color (something like a 10-year-old CA pinot noir, maybe), and with more sediment than any other wine I've ever opened - large chunks of black matter which look like tree bark. A little thin and short on the palate, but still nicely enjoyable.
Good QPR for a port with a bit of age on it, but nothing too special in the end. Drink over the next couple of years.

Dark berry fruit nose with notes of teak, leather, chocolate and some graphite. Sweet and medium bodied palate with refreshing structure starting to smoothen out. A good deal of fruit: red and dark berries, plum and slight apricot. Slightly drying graphite and medicinal notes in the good length finish. Good stuff for sure and drinking pretty well.
