  • A local mutation of Chardonnay. Green and bruised apple, summer hay, honey and slight melon, exotic fruit and greenness on the nose, with an oxidative undercurrent. The medium-bodied palate is dominated by a strong, mineral acidity, with the fruit balancing it out however. Long, mineral finish, tapering towards a feeling of sucking stones. A complex and engaging one with all the major bits at the right places, except maybe a bit hollow midpalate. Even if not oxidatively done, still very Jura in style, and recognizably so. This has the potential to age and to gain some more complexity and become a bit rounder around the edges. Nice.
