Appearance: medium ruby with purple rim Nose: pronounced intensity; aromas of sweet candied fruit, red cherry, chamomile and citrusy notes, lifted violet notes, blueberry, toast, chocolate. It’s developing. Palate: dry, medium plus acidity, medium plus fine grained tannins, high alcohol, medium plus body, medium plus flavour intensity. A little chocolate at the end of finish. The finish is medium plus. Overall, it’s a very good wine. Can drink now and has potential for further ageing. Crack open this bottle before going to Hunter Valley again for a tasting. Signature candied fruits and citrus notes, typical for Hunter Shiraz. A very solid wine with great fruit quality and balanced. The fruit concentration counters the alcohol so that it doesn’t feel like 14.5%. It drinks really well now, and further cellaring will reward.

Young & a little tight. I’ve got it in the decanter so let’s see how it opens. Dark & blue fruits, firm tannins, orange peel, cracked black pepper, heather and a little bark. It’s a 91 but soon to be a 93/94 well soonish - 3-5yrs!

Bright ruby/purple colour. Soft earthy nose. Fresh red fruit with a grippy dry tannin finish. Very young wine that no doubt has many years to develop softness and complexity. Shows very good promise.
