  Nice Cabernet Sauvignon - a lot of oak on the nose. Had to decant it for about 30 minutes before it was ready.

  Decanted 4 hrs. This is drinking FABULOUSLY now! Oak, Chocolate, tannins...the whole quintessential CA Cabernet but BALANCED. Amazing pairing with steak and chocolate

  This opaque ruby wine is a blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Malbec, 6% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, aged for 26 months in French oak (60% new). Effusive of Bing cherries, raspberries, anise, violets and espresso on the nose, it is a full-bodied, freshly acidic wine with nicely integrated alcohol (listed as 15.1%), silky tannins and lots of toasted oak. The flavors mirror the nose and the middle palate is nicely dense. Closing with a lengthy, vanilla-laden finish, this is a quality wine but would be better if the winemaker had employed a bit less oak. Drink now-2030.
