this is a very nice wine but it needed about 3+ hours to breath. I'm not sure the cost/flavor is in proportion however. The nose, right form the beginning was always big and berry. But it smoothed out we it sat and breathed. The taste at first pour was very thin, hints of berry but not very complex. After it sat and breathed for 3 hours it really started to get bolder berries, herbs, chocolate, coffee.. It blossomed into a very nice wine. The finish at first was very thin and non existent. But after breathing for several hours it was very pleasant smooth berry. Overall it's a nice wine but over priced. I love this region but I've had better at a lower cost.

Dark, inky colors with an earthy taste. Fruit is quite subdued. This is the 2nd bottle I've had. In both cases, I was initially unimpressed with the first few sips and then was won over. Drink within the next year, as I think the fruit has peaked.

Deep purple colour with a nose of cherry, slight earthiness and spice. The oak is a little heavy handed with tastes of vanilla, sour cherry, and mild leather. The tannins are round, spicy, and long lasting. There is certainly an appeal in Crianza and this is certainly a representative wine.
