Bought from vineyard in France and carried home to US. Suspect it was corked. Color is brick red. Decanted 3 hours. Muted nose. Disappointingly, not a complex wine. Fruit forward, but not jammy like US wine. It first hits me with a mint spice, and melts into a raspberry & strawberry fruit. Smooth and silky texture. Lingers in mouth but finishes with same fruit profile. This is a respected wine so I wouldn't base decisions on this review of a potentially corked wine.

Can taste the pure powerful fruit with so much concentration and very nice long finish. Very different from the Argentina Malbecs, more precision and fresh. Just makes you want to keep on drinking as it is so good.
Silky smoothness, finely balanced wine, with incredible delicate structure while still bringing out the characteristic chocolate of Malbec, but without the heavy notes found in the Argentinian examples. Super good

KL trip 2020. Drank in Riedel stemless. Appearance is clear, deep intensity, inky purple colour. Legs. Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with aromas of leathery animal meat, blackberries, black cherries, black pepper spice, perfumed sandalwood. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, high alcohol (14.5%), very polished structured high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of dark chocolate, dark animal leather and meat, blackberries, black cherries, black plums, black pepepr spice. Very long finish. Very good quality. Oodles of pulsating dark black life. The influence of Michel Rolland is there, though the Cahors character still shows up prominently. 100% Malbec. Physiologically ripe and so balanced. I almost want to give this more points already. Impressive. Can drink young, and also extremely ageworthy.
