Nose: Plum liqueur, prickly. Palate: stewed plums, blackberry, quite a bit of wood, sour cherry; bitter plum skins; rounded tannins, and could benefit from a bit more acidity.

Youthful, cherry more than almond, medium+ acidity, solid, not particularly good value by comparison with earlier vintages. Starting to lift the volume, and it shows

Lush, juicy, and everything I'm looking for in a WA Bordeaux blend. Muted bouquet that benefits from a bit of air, but in the glass the flavors balance nicely: plums, cassis, and some black cherry along with a subtle cedary spice note. Surprised to find this is mostly merlot (59%) as it carries a lot of cabernet on the palate. Glad I have more of this; hope it stays at this plateau for a while.

Aline KCAC. Drank with Mike from Bin South 18. $33 and in cellar since October 2019. Oak chalk nose with touch of cherry. Deep dark purple. Dry presentation medium body and chalk with hint of currant and cherry. Past prime. 7/10.
Tested 48 hours later. Pleasant chalk oak nose. Full body currant cocoa chalk. Delightful after 2 days. 7.5/10.
