Seattle Tasting Group 'End of Year Dinner' #4 (Sammamish, WA): Lemon curd, faint notes of butter-brickle, crackling minerality and a hint of vanilla cookie at the end. This is a salty, intense wine that is just slathered in minerals. The finish is very wound up, breathtaking. Not one single taster ever imagine this was anything other than Burgundy. Lots of guesses of Chevalier-Montrachet and neighboring environs. Lots of sheepish grins when Roy unveiled this ringer...
