A non-vintage blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay. 12% alcohol. No idea how old this bottle was or when it was disgorged. Tasted blind.
Luminous reddish copper color. Enjoyably savory, Pinot Noir -driven nose with aromas of bruised apple, ripe strawberries, some earthy tones, a little bit of ripe red cherry and a hint of meat. The wine is ripe, juicy and medium-bodied on the palate with dry, savory flavors of cherries, some earth, a little bit of tangy salinity, light wild strawberry tones and a developed hint of caramel. The wine is high in acidity with a fine, creamy mousse. The finish is ripe, juicy and quite long with dry and subtly vinous flavors of spicy Pinosity, some caramel tones, a little bit of bruised apple, light stony mineral tones and a hint of earth.
A nice, fresh and nuanced Crémant de Bourgogne that was surprisingly nuanced and vinous for the style. I guess the wine must have been slightly older (from what I heard, it has been bought over a year ago and there was no idea how old it was at that point), since there were some subtly developed nuanced which added some very nice undertones to the ripe yet dry fruit flavors. Although showing a bit age, I can imagine this wine will continue to improve for at least a few years more. Nothing too ambitious, but a fine, enjoyable fizz all the same.

This wine was excellent. It has been in the cellar for more than four years. Still bright and bubbly as full of red fruit. Crémant de Bourgogne is the closest Crémant to Champagne in many ways including varietal make up. Those is a great bargain at $10 (when I bought it). It is still one of the top buys at Trader Joe’s.

(NV Blason de Bourgogne Crémant de Bourgogne Cuvée Rosé Brut) Light, slightly orange tinged pink color; light strawberry, creamy nose; poised, very appealing, tart strawberry palate with a sense of roses and medium acidity; medium finish 90+ points

Simple sparkling rose but good value for the price. Dry, notes of pear and watermelon.

If one adjusts for price, this is quite good actually. Would buy again for everyday drinking. Would likely pair well with sushi.
